About Me

What could I tell you about me that would be remotely interesting? A product of the mid-west and recent transplant to the Chicago area I love all types of crafts, reading and sometimes music. I was a great lover of music, everything but Rap, but after a long illness including several strokes and chronic depression I found that I could no longer play the piano – something I had done since childhood (and that means a lot of years). My brain and my hands just couldn’t seem to work together and frustration became a daily thing so I sold my piano and stopped even listening to music. BIG mistake! Music is the thread of our living, sometimes soft and senuous, sometimes loud and blaring and sometimes it just makes you feel good. So, am slowly getting back into the enjoyment of it. Taking it one step at a time, just like I had to do with reading and comprehension. Some things will always be a battle, but I’d rather be here fighting that the alternative.

Okay, enough doom and gloom – I love creating (when my muse hasn’t left me) all sorts of things. I used to have a store and after the first illness closed it and opened an on-line store where I sold my creations – bath soaps, lotions, bath teas, handcrafted jewelry, handbags and art-to-wear jackets. Except my bath products, most things were one-of-a-kind because a) get bored easily and it is hard to make two of the same thing and b) have a problem following most patterns, would rather make my own. So, am in the process of getting my on-line store opened again and starting to have fun with it.
