Do you have a link for the online doll making class? I have a real weakness for these. My grandmother used to make these. I still have the one that she made 25 years ago when I was driving alone across country. She wanted the doll in my front passenger seat so I wouldn't look like I was traveling alone! When I first encountered cloth dolls it was at an exhibition. I was bowled over and so excited! Two other ladies came in and said how they loved the dolls. One lady picked up a pattern and said 'Look we can make these'. The other replied 'Oh we could never do that'. And without a backward glance they walked out. That was 7 years ago or so now. Since then, I have been in magazines, books, I teach online, I'm teaching in the States (paid) this spring, and I have started very successfully writing patterns. Just think if I had let the fear that gripped them, grip me. My life would be utterly different - and sadder. Even if this wasn't turning into a viable career I'd still be making dolls because it makes my heart sing. Have fun. Play.
