You asked the question, if we could have just one thing, what would it be? I would wish for the ability to see clearly... and then, of course, to paint it, either with pigments or words so that others could see as well.

Hi Marilyn,
I usually find that the missing muse has hired an inept temporary helper, who is always hiding in some other genre/activity. I hope working with your friend on a variety of things will turn over the particular shell your muse is napping under!
Great post, as for my one thing-confident competency, please. With fries. I knew I shouldn't have written this while hungry.
Cheers!

I can relate to the inspiration and unfinished projects. I actually belong to a group called the "UFO Club" (UnFinished Objects). Now I learned a new term for those of us who do craft projects and had lots of them started:
PhD (Projects Half Done). You just tell people you are working on your "PhD" and when they ask in what you say "textiles"!!! I'm actually going on a UFO Club retreat next weekend where we all stay at a hotel and work on and encourage each other to finish our projects. Of course some of us also cheat and start new ones there!

Marilyn,
This would be a great post to submit to the blog carnival on inspiration, http://lvsonline.com/online-blogging-classes/inspiration-blog-carnival/

You are echoing, very articulately, what I keep hearing from so many bloggers. There is the reality of limited time and so many possibilities that it can be a challenge to find the inspiration and give it room and energy to take flight.
