Beaded Face
This hand beaded necklace is made with assorted beads, delicas and other components enhancing the terra cotta face. The colors (which don’t show well in this picture) are irridescent purples, shades of blue and grey, white pearls and heshis.
By using various sized beads and the peyote stitch you can create the flowing and open areas giving the headwrap a feeling of a scarf. I will be posting some general instructions and will look for the name of the person who creates these faces individually. I prefer Soft Flex wire for these neccklaces as I feel it gives more support, but other types of thread or material could be used.

Procrastination is over – - – I hope
For some time I’ve wanted to create a blog about making jewelry, handbags and art-to-wear, update my sites, redo and upgrade my shopping cart and take the pictures for it, but life just seemed to get in the way. So, I am taking a LVS Blogging Class to give me the kick I need. This Blog will have information, free patterns and links to other Blogs or sites with added information for those who would like to make their own “handcrafted” bags and jewelry. Sometimes, I’ll add a basic design and everyone will be able to add their ideas and comments until we get a finished product. Welcome, and I hope you’ll visit oten. Please feel free to subscribe to our RSS feed.
